Last weekend we decided to escape to the country and spent a blissful few days in The Cotswolds. It was a little bit of work, but also a little bit of recharging. We went on a Sunday to eek out the weekend that little bit longer and it turned out to be just what we needed…

Despite a few sunny hours on the first day, it wasn’t the best weather, but our little cottage (organised through Beachspoke) was the perfect place to read a book, run a bath and catch up on some emails without the usual London noise (ours being more drilling and smashing at the moment).
I must admit, we don’t do UK breaks enough – always in search of sun and sea. But we loved the beautiful cobbled streets, wysteria-strewn houses and country pubs – nowhere does it better.

We came home with a heavy heart and a longing to go back. It definitely won’t be our last trip.
Who knew I was such a country girl at heart?

Wow! Your trip looks so relaxing and it’s so nice to have a quick getaway and still have that holiday feeling! I love your skirt and tee shirt combo!
I’ve never been to the Cotswold but I’m supposed to attend a wedding there later this year!

Absolutely love this t-shirt, looks so cute on you….and it’s back in stock….yay! Would you please give me an idea of size, is it typical French style sizing (i.e. tiny?) Thanks do much for your help ✨

So I got a size medium – and it’s perfect – it’s not stretchy so a bit more boyfit but I like it a bit slouchy xx
Oh you will love it – so beautiful – and even better if the weather holds out! xx
Great blog
Just ordered the Boden jacket in blue – it’s currently 15% off for anyone on the fence about it! (Love it in the green as well, but just cannot justify another army green jacket without actually enlisting in the army)
Lovely. Absolutely love it!
It looks gorgeous there! Tell us more about this holiday rental!
Great tip!! I’m so bad at checking those discounts! And haha – agree re: the green – I have three now and need to stop!!
It was beautiful -two bedrooms, one bathroom and in the village of Kingham – a gorgeous pub at the end of the road! xx
Love these pics! Where did you stay when you were there. It looks absolutely beautiful and would love to go!
It was called Yarrow Cottage x
I’m now longing for a late summer UK break somewhere remote and green. Would you recommend this village/cottage? I stayed in Painswick last time I went to the Cotswolds, but am keen to try somewhere new.
P.S. You look chic-de-la-chic in both those outfits!
Briony xx
Yes!! Loved it – gorgeous cottage, you can walk to the local pub (which is part of The Lucky Onion Group) and Daylesford is 5 mins down the road -the perfect place to unwind xx
Very Nice ! , Thx
