I suppose everyone has their festival ‘style’, and mine always favours practicality over sequins and feathers. I’ve been caught out too many times being cold at night or with wet toes in my best flip flops to not be prepared. Denim and stripes is my relaxed go-to style for weekends and my festival-wear is an extension of that, but always mixed with a good cross-body bag which fits in all my essentials (phone, portable charger, lipbalm, hand sanitiser, tissues and sunnies), a rainmac (which usually fits into said cross-body bag) and pretty much always a pair of high-tops or wellies.

I love that these New Look dungarees fit more like a pair of straight leg jeans that are around at the moment, they have no stretch and finish at just the right spot for high tops and boots.
And my top tip for festivals? Layering…I always pack a cashmere hoodie or a cardigan I can wrap around my waste and then throw on when the evening chill kicks in.
This year, I revisited Port Eliot with my family and husband (after having such a brilliant time with Briony last year – see original post here). It has become my favourite festival, there’s something about the fresh Cornish air, the relaxed atmosphere (there are no well known bands, just great music, so you don’t get any FOMO), the delicious food (lobster, crab, burritos and South Indian street food to name a few snacks) and informative talks (we saw Clare Weight Keller from Chloe, Bruce Robinson and Noel Fielding speak) that is the perfect mix for me.
The Southern crowd are a stylish set – tons of feather head dresses, sequin gowns and floral hairbands (and that was just the men!), but I chose the more low-key approach – maybe next year I’ll go a bit more extravagant.

Rad look! 🙂 I'm looking for some mid priced boyfriend jeans and you recommended the gap boyfriend but I don't think they do them anymore. Have you tried the girlfriend ones? Or can you recommend any others? Thanks
