All my life I have been waiting for an affordable glasses store that sells cool frames. Thank goodness for Bailey Nelson!
Their philosophy is that your glasses should make a style statement and not cost more than an iPad – that’s my kind of philosophy. I visited the store last week in Covent Garden (but you can also buy online) and tried on a few for size – all their styles are super cool, and there is definitely something for everyone.

I love that the frames all have cool, literary names, too:

Here is the best bit: every pair of glasses, including prescription lenses are £98 (varifocals cost more). Each pair is made with acetate and all lenses are anti-scratch and anti-reflective. All of their sunglasses have polarised lenses. Just take in your existing prescription and your glasses will be ready in 2-3 days.
That's actually a really competitive pricepoint for some good looking glasses. I'd definitely have to be a try in store girl as frames are really tricky and you don't know what suits till they're on your face. But if I were in London – I would definitely be taking a look.
Now these guys are right up my street! I'm loving the pair you tried on. Wish they were a bit closer to me…what are the chances of a Belfast branch?! Hope you're having a good weekend x
I know, it IS frustrating, and although they sell online, glasses are just those things you need to see up close (literally, in my case!) – such good value, though
M'ladies,
Obviously the catch with shopping at a super cool start-up is that we can't be everywhere instantly. But here's a quick heads-up. We're about to launch a guarantee that you're happy with your frames you buy online.
We'll make any pair, with your single vision script, and if you don't like it you can just send them back. If you want to get the jump on this just send a note to the team at info@baileynelson.co.uk
Big love,
Bailey
p.s. Thanks for your kind words Alex. Lovely piece.
Alex I love your frames, which ones do you have?
Mine are called the Markova xx
