It’s funny, there are probably a million photos we take for this blog that never see the light of day. These are a few of those.
I always plan my blog shoots around when I’m in town, planning what outfit I want to talk about etc. Sadly I’m too busy to just go to the streets and shoot whatever…and even this was part of an Instagram shoot whilst we were filming a video (coming soon!) at the Artist Residence Hotel.
My husband and I were walking to grab a snack and the early evening light was so beautiful, we decided to shoot for instagram and ended up trying a few extras just for fun.
Photographing for fun: it almost seems a lost phrase for us these days as it’s so associated with work. but often, this is how the best photos happen.
The outfit is pretty basic
My uniform of stripes (red bret-on), jeans and flats. I love this J Crew tee, it’s really lightweight and so easy to wear and I’m loving a red stripe as opposed to the classic navy.
In a world where everything is so staged, planned, planned and styled – here’s to a few photos that were a bit more ad hoc and spontaneous – because we all need a bit of that in our lives.
