Interiors Envy: Elizabeth Cocozza-McMordie

Life - By Alexandra Stedman
Liz with her twin boys, Zack and Otis
Meet Liz, one of the most effortlessly chic, immaculate, organised and loveliest women I know. She was actually the first Fashion Director I ever assisted (10 years ago now!), whilst on Eve Magazine – and her experience and support help guide my career to what it is today.
She also has an ah-mazing house. The perfect mix of city and country, she sold her small (but gorgeously decorated) flat in Queen’s Park and moved to Bromley into a ground floor flat with immense rooms, the highest ceilings I’ve seen and a beautiful garden where the boys can run freely. A decent swap.
Liz is now a PR director for Fashion Agency Inexcess but also does Personal Styling (you can get in touch here) and Interiors Styling – something she has always enjoyed – and you can see it in every detail.

Liz’s book collection is amazing – she got me into Peter Lindbergh’s photography when I was at Eve (far right)
When
did you move here, and what made you move outside of London?

We
moved  to Kent 4 years ago when I was pregnant with the twins. We found we
got so much more for our money and we wanted to be nearer to family.
How
do you juggle working with twin boys?
I
am super organised, it’s the only way.

Which
are your favourite High Street stores?
Zara,
H&M and The White Company.
Where
do you shop for your boys?

Zara
Kids, Boden, H&M and The White Company.

Where do you buy your flowers from?

I love going to The Covent Garden Flower market, it is amazing how much choice there is and such great value.
You’re a fan of Farrow & Ball – which colours have you used?
In
our bedroom we used ‘Off White’, in the twins’ nursery is ‘Parma Grey’. The hall and study are ‘Skimming Stone’ and the Lounge Room is ‘Oxford Stone’.

Where
do you shop for interiors?
Brissi,
Ikea, Rigby & Mac, Camerich, Cox and Cox, Lombok and I love French Markets.
What
inspires you for interiors? Do you use Pinterest, other people’s homes or is it
just innate?
Lots
of things, I love Pinterest, Instagram, websites and interior design books. I
also get great inspiration from Hotels: Borgo Santo Pietro in Tuscany, TheDelano in Miami and The London Edition all move me.

Cushion: Donna Wilson

What
are your top 3 beauty products you couldn’t live without?
Chanel
eye makeup remover, Kiehl’s Moisturiser and Clarins hand cream.

Make-up bag: Jimmy Choo

Taps by Burlington from Potter Perrin

Custommade – one of the many cool (Scandi) brands Liz represents
Are
you happy with everything at the moment, or are you itching to change any
interiors?
I
want to redo the twins nursery next. It now needs to be more of a little boys
room rather than toddlers. I’ve got my eye on some great Scandi style day
beds and pirate themed bed linen.
