Investment Piece: Bella Freud Jumper

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman
Alexa Chung in Bella Freud

Everyone knows I love Bella Freud knitwear. My ‘Ginsberg is God’ sweater remains one of my all-time good investments. It just always looks right – a classic.

Merino wool jumper (comes in black, too), £270, Avenue 32

As this blog is always about saving up for the important stuff, I thought I’d dedicate a post to another on my lust-list: the ‘1970’ jumper. It’s what you call a ‘transformer’ – making every outfit that bit cooler. As if you need anymore convincing, I’ve done a year round outfit edit (and a bit of dreaming with the summer look)…

1. Faux leather skirt, £38, Warehouse

2. Gold-plated ‘love’ bracelet, £120, Alex Monroe

3. ‘Riley’ leather ankle boots, £185, Whistles

4. Wool blend coat, £40 in the sale (a few sizes left), H&M

5. Wool pom pom hat, £45, Not On The High Street

6. Suede tassel bag, £65, Topshop

1. Denim dungarees, £26.99, New Look at Asos

2. Bikini bottoms, £12, Next

3. Leather espadrilles, £69, Dune London

4. Skinny bracelet, £50, Astley Clarke
