I’ve got to that time of year when it’s freezing outside, mostly wet, our house doesn’t have one room we can comfortably relax in and my maternity wardrobe consists of a not very interesting 3 pairs of skinny maternity jeans.

I’ve not worn tights for a few years, I’ve always found them a bit claustrophobic in the past but I’ve finally succumbed. If it means I can extend my wardrobe to winter dresses that little bit longer, I’ll give anything a go (and these with cashmere blend, make tight wearing that little bit more luxurious).
The dress and coat are both from Reserved, a relatively new store to the UK, originating from Poland. It has taken over a huge premises on Oxford Street and has some really affordable pieces.

The dress is part of the RE:Design collection, focusing on more design-led pieces. And I’m very happy that it suits a current bump as well as a post bump -not all my dresses do unfortunately.
Print clashing is just part of my wardrobe now – try mixing checks with dainty florals, and introducing textures too. This would look great with a pair of velvet boots, but for those icy pavements right now I’m happiest in Vans.

I might be swapping my burgundy beret for a burgundy beanie hat this week but the festive vibes are still there. The lead-up to Christmas is officially on and I’m starting to wind down for the season, catching up with friends and family – it’s my favourite time of the year and am embracing it fully before next year turns into madness.

This post was in collaboration with Reserved London, all styling, images and opinions my own.
love the coat

Very cute. I love the coat, in a million years you wouldn’t guess it was so inexpensive; it looks great! I’d like to see the fabric IRL, but with the glimpse of the piping by the lining, it looks well made. And I LOVE that bag, I’ve noticed it in earlier posts. Do you happen to know if Sezane is available in the States? I’m not familiar with the brand, so I need to do my research.
Yes it’s really great and the cut os good too, love the length. Sezane is basically an online store (the first of its kind in France) and they do ship to the states as they actually have launched a pop-up store in New York recently! And Sincerely Jules has been wearing it a lot – it’s gorgeous stuff, not cheap but so well made and everything I have from them is always in my most used, favourite part of my wardrobe x
Yup, just found that out today… luckily for me their one pop-up shop in the U.S. just happens to be in NY. Thanks Alex!
Hi Alex, when I was heavily pregnant during two winters, I saved the money I would have spent on clothes during that time and bought myself a pair of Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots. I wore these and a camel cloak from Mango over my maternity leggings and skinny jeans during early spring post pregnancy. They made me feel a bit more pulled together. Pirate boots not advised in icy weather though! xx
Love this! Much wiser spend! x
I never seem to be commenting on the actual post, but wanted to let you know I saw your story in the latest (and sadly the last) Jamie magazine and I want that Hope, Peace, Cookies card, a lot. Also, are you able to show us your Christmas wrapping this year (mine will be featuring some of the 36 -yip 36, rolls of washi tape I accidentally brought back from Japan…..)
Oh thank you – yes such a shame it was the last issue! Haven’t actually seen it yet…will track it down – those cards were ones I received, it was Kate Spade I think! And funnily enough, my last insta post was wrapping! I’ve gone for green banana leaf paper from Tiger and used gold twine – all with washi tape, of course! xx
Oh, thanks, have had a look at your instagram and love your choices , sadly no Tiger in NZ, but stocked up in Tokyo. Merry Christmas!
Wish I could stock up in Tokyo!! So desperate to go back xxx
Hey! I liked the style for maternity. This is quite simple and classy look. One can wear this simple and classy look for an outing. Surely, looking forward to wear the same.
