Minimalism: what’s that?

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman

Coat: Marks & Spencer (old but there a few sizes left of this one on Asos). Jumper: Whistles (old). Scarf: Next (old but I’ve also been wearing this version from And Other Stories which I love.). Jeans: £40, Topshop Maternity. Bag: £119, Kurt Geiger. Boots: Next (old but similar from Boden here). Photographs: Christopher O’Donnell.

There I go again, just wearing a load of old clothes that I’ve thrown together….but sometimes isn’t that the best way?!

Stripes, leopard, red…it shouldn’t work but sometimes a mish mash can really brighten up a dull day in England.

I’m probably a bit of a cliche when it comes to dressing – pop of colour, always leopard print – but when it works, it works and this leopard coat is so warm and fuzzy and let’s not beat around the bush: it’s bloody freezing outside.

Luckily I have a bit of central heating with the baby bump – I am 32 weeks now – how did that happen?! I keep getting updates on my pregnancy app saying ‘you’re probably thinking about fitting a car seat now and your hospital bag is packed’ and I look at the screen clueless – nope…!

I have been working on a video on what I’ve bought during my pregnancy (hopefully it will ready next week) – but I warn you: it’s not much! As you can probably tell from my outfit posts lately, I’m recycling a LOT of old stuff. It’s far too cold to wear dresses at the moment so jeans/trousers and jumpers it generally is right now (although am currently typing this from my desk in a tracksuit – comfort wins most of the time at the moment).

In other news – the builders will be finished the next part of the renovations this week! I am so excited – it means we can start the next phase of painting and actually decorating the rooms, start living in them and feel like we have our lives back….I could not be more excited. And more importantly: I will have access to a WARDROBE as opposed to a temporary rail in a room full of boxes, spare mattresses and clutter. A whole new world.

I like ‘The Bump’! It’s a bit American (just ignore all the things about the gift registry etc!!) but it’s great – I had the pregnancy one but after a few months you have to pay 🙁 xx

Wow 32 weeks, so close. You look great and I can’t wait to see decorated rooms, will you do a nursery before the baby is born ?

No, we’re still living in the room which will hopefully be the baby’s room at the moment – maybe once we’re out and back in our bedroom we will think about it. Luckily, they’ll be in with us for a few months so a bit of time to get ourselves sorted! x
