There’s nothing I love more than seeing a trend I bought into last year, return for another triumphant season.
It’s not often these days I buy real ‘fashion’ pieces – but I knew these boots would lift so many looks. Sometimes I think I’m a bad blogger as I’m always wearing old clothes (and I still buy a lot compared to most people!) but I hope it shows that I buy what I love and prove that they go the distance.
That’s definitely not to say I don’t impulse buy and make some fashion faux pas (not sure on the plural of that term!) sometimes, I’m human after all. But I do always wear my clothes more than once – something I sadly see less and less of on Instagram these days.
The trousers were a quick buy on Asos last month – I decided it’d be nice to have some trousers other than maternity jeans so bought these and they are so comfortable. They do need dressing up a bit, I wore them with loafers and I looked a little bit like I was wearing a Sainsbury’s uniform (nothing wrong with that, just not the style I go for usually).
And the coat is Cos – I haven’t bought anything there for a long time actually, despite loving it. I felt the colour palette had become so paired back it verged on dull (sorry Cos!). But I was delighted the other day when I went in and there was colour once again. Of course I didn’t buy colour, but a classic trench but it is fully lined and longer than the J Crew one I have which is much more of a spring version.
All in all quite a simple look but think the red boots are going to keep my wardrobe that little bit more interesting for a while to come…
