Spring Must Buy: Duster Coat

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman
Duster coat: Gestuz (buy similar here). Jumper: Bella Freud. Trousers: H+M. Boots: Whistles

I’ve already planned a post on ‘what you need to buy for Spring’, but then jumped the gun slightly here as the ‘duster coat’ is one of them. Much softer and feminine than a trench coat, this one is brushed cotton, it hangs just right and drapes perfectly.

Going back to streamlining my wardrobe – you can’t go wrong with a classic trench and a softer version is ideal for Spring – I just need to remember to wear it in the small window we get for Spring!

THE FRUGAL EDIT

1. Duster coat, £79, Topshop

2. Fedora, £25, Topshop

3. Ripped knee jeans, £40, Oasis

4. Cashmere jumper, £99, Boden

5. Trainers, £19.99, H&M

6. Bucket bag, £19.99, H&M

On a side note, since researching this blogpost, I’m now lusting after this khaki trench from Asos (and the model’s wearing my boots – it’s a sign!).

I am so with you in terms of streamlining and that gorgeous duster coat could go right into my wardrobe!

Your duster coat looks great but I can spot the Bella Freud jumper at 50 paces even under a rather nice duster coat. I would really really like a jumper just like yours. It's on my NAP wish list and one of these days I'll send it to checkout and it'll be mine.

You know what I think I'm obsessed…I throw it on with everything. But now I want to finish the collection with Je T'aime Jane and 1970…birthday in a few months so we'll see!
