Towel: Sluiz in Ibiza (but buy similar from Atterley here). Sunglasses: £56, Mr Boho at Suitehazen. Navy liquid eyeliner: £6.49, L’Oreal. Nail varnish in ‘Cobalt Blue’: £3.95, Mavala. Sea Salt Spray: £9.99, Mark Hill. Photo taken with Olympus Pen camera |
This blogpost idea started out as top beach products under £20, and then I realised I could actually go one step further….
I’ve recently found a plethora of super affordable holiday products, and have been regularly taking them on my latest trips – and they really do stand up against the more expensive alternatives. So next time you’re packing (or just fancy a cheap beauty thrill), don’t forget to consult this list.
1. Batiste Dry Shampoo:
![]() |
£4.99, Asos |
Seriously, the best invention ever. I don’t use it instead of washing my hair, but as someone with thin hair that is constantly looking a bit ‘limp’, this serves as a great little pick me up. An essential camping/work to party product.
2. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Colour in ‘Framboise’
![]() |
£8.99, Feel Unique |
This has all the moisturising qualities of a creamy lipstick, but goes on matte and stays pretty much all day. The colours are also spot on – I love ‘Framboise’.
3. Mark Hill Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray
![]() |
£9.99, Amazon |
As far as sea salt sprays go, you can’t go wrong with this budget version. In fact, you can’t really go wrong with the whole rang e- I also took the sun protection spray away with me to Ibiza which is also excellent (and smells incredible).
4. Topshop Glow Stick in ‘Heat’
![]() |
£10, Topshop |
The perfect accompaniment to any holiday. Use as a highlighter and rub on for a bronzed shimmer to your cheeks – it’s very subtle and suits most skin types. Topshop’s beauty products are not to be ignored at the moment – the ‘freckle pencil’ is also a revelation – trust me!
5. L’Oreal Super Liner Eyeliner in ‘Midnight Blue’
![]() |
£6.49, Boots |
It’s nice to try something different on holiday, isn’t it? And navy eyeliner is a great way to ease yourself into it. The nib glides on really easily and it stays all day. Plus it’s ‘midnight’ rather than electric blue, so the colour difference is perfectly subtle.
6. Charles Worthington Volume & Texturising Spray
![]() |
£4.66, Boots |
Obviously I’d love to stay loyal to Bumble & Bumble’s dryspun finish, but at the rate I go through a bottle with my wavy bob (or ‘wob’ as most people are referring to it), I need something else at a fraction of the price. In steps Charles Worthington’s range – it’s fab, easy and affordable. Done.

Hat: H&M (sold out). Bracelets: Astley Clarke. Rings: Nikki Stark. Top: £69, Monsoon. Bikini: £28, Topshop |
7. Mavala Nail Polish in ‘Cobalt Blue’
![]() |
£3.95, Fruugo |
I wore this Mavala shade all holiday and it really lasted. It’s also such a small bottle that you can afford to take it in your hand luggage for touch ups. I love a blue nail colour, and this one is almost identical to YSL’s ‘Bleu Majorelle’.
8. Bleach London ‘Balayage Kit’
![]() |
£4, Boots |
I actually used this last time I coloured my hair before Nerja – and I was really surprised with the results. Not too yellowy and easy to apply (although there are also plenty of YouTube videos which can help), it’s a bargain if you need a little bleach fix without the salon £100 to spare.
9. The Righteous Butter Body Lotion
![]() |
£10, Soap & Glory |
This stuff comes into its own post holiday – it’s thick and luxurious and glides on keeping your skin soft and supple and flake free. I love the kitsch packaging.
10. Antipodes Organic Lip Balm
![]() |
£8, Feel Unique |
You know I’m a lip balm snob, right? I usually travel with Lucas Paw Paw but this has since taken its top spot – it exfoliates and nourishes and leaves your lips feeling amazing. There’s really nothing like it.
And my most recommended products over £10? It has to be Charlotte Tilbury’s Norman Parkinson range. Chic, practical and the cream blusher is a great holiday colour. I have also taken this washbag on pretty much every minibreak since I got it – wipe clean with huge inside pockets? The ideal washbag.

Washbag: £55, Charlotte Tilbury (it would make a perfect birthday gift for someone) |
I know (&like) Batiste :))))))
This is a great list. I do love budget products especially for holiday when you know you might not use them as often. Love the make-up bag too x

Summer is so great in general for being able to get away with 'cheaper' products – clothes too! x
Pretty much always in my bag now – love that they do travel sized ones, too!
I love the Batise dry shampoo!! Defo a must have…

Does the highlights product work well on brown hair?
