‘Howie’ pyjama set, Desmond & Dempsey exclusively for Fortnum & Mason |
I’m not really a Valentines round-up kind of person. And you’ll certainly not see any red lace underwear here. Instead, I thought I’d talk about a gift I always love to receive: pyjamas. Could there be a better gift…? I never like to spend the money myself but a chic set feels like such a luxury. And my husband is far more likely to catch me in my flat all buttoned up in some comfy pjs than a lace teddy. That’s just life (or me).
I’ve also been thinking about a lovely soft kimono for Spring, Koro Kimono have a dreamy brushed cotton grey one I can see myself wafting around in come spring. Plus with all this pyjama dressing and underwear as outerwear trends – pyjamas are an essential purchase, right?

Oh those are pretty – need to buy new PJs, realised I've not had any since my no2 was born and they are looking a little 'old' (and the wrong size)
it's such a treat, and always feels a bit indulgent as no one really sees them, but a good pair of pyjamas makes you feel so chic! x
Ha! yes – do! I was looking for RHW range funnily enough but online M&S only had jersey sets – love her suff xx
OMG I feel the same way about pjs! I grew up in a family who put pJs on as soon as we got home, so that's what I do still, all grown up. Nothing like slipping into a brand new set of super soft pjs. They aren't always the most fashionable, but Target's Gilligan & O'Malley line as well as the GAP's flannel and summer lightweight ones are the best!! Nice post!
Totally agree! Sometimes my husband can't quite believe how quickly I slip them on!
This is such a good post Alex! Alternative valentines gift guaranteed to please x
Thank you! Glad you like! xx
