I saw this dress at the Hobbs A/W Press Day a few months ago and fell in love with it. It was so not me, and I surprised myself but the dusky pink hue and the gentle lace was so romantic, and I think it probably reminded me of my wedding dress.
But I knew I couldn’t wear it with heels. And I needed to toughen it up slightly, so tried it with an old earcuff (see my edit for Red Magazine here) and a chunky ring.

Dress, bag, sandals, all Hobbs |
Before this post, I had not been in Hobbs for years, but their new collection is pretty good. It’s great for occasionwear, and although a little pricey – it’s something you’ll wear again and again, just mix it up your accessories.

Lace dress worn with an old H+M jacket |
Amazing dress!! I ve been on the hunt for ages for a wedding outfit and loved all the suggestions in the previous posts but this is my favourite (and the one hopefully most likely to suit me!). It s way out of my budget but I love it so much I ve just ordered it (justified as an investment buy) and fingers crossed when it arrived it looks as fantastic as it does on you Alex! Not connected but I bought the H&M leopard espadrilles and they look great but weirdly the weight of the espadrilles platform kept pulling the back of the shoe off when I walked so ended up returning them! X
Aah – hope you like it! It's beautifully made and although pricey, it's a bit like Whistles – you'll wear it loads and always get compliments! I've tried to mix up the wedding posts so there's something for everyone.
Yes, the H&M espadrilles took a while of getting used to…I ended up getting a size smaller so they stayed on! x
Wow! I would never have looked at this dress but it looks stunning on you. The colour really suits you without looking to sickly sweet. I think your shorter hair really helps, long blonde hair might make it a bit to girly, girly. You've definitely got the right balance with the ear cuff and ring combo. Another fantastic wedding post making me think laterally.
You look amazing in it! I also saw it at the press day and loved the colour, I also liked the pink metallic and that grey faux fur, suddenly I can't wait for autumn!
Such a beautiful dress! It suits you so well and the photos are lovely. The flat sandals are so cute (and your smile is the best accessory!!)
I just received a gorgeous black and white dress from Hobbs and will show it on the blog soon.
