Workwear {Part Two}

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman
Jumpsuit: £15, Primark. Leather bag: £165, Iris & Ink at The Outnet. Shoes: Jimmy Choo (in the January sales). Glasses: Burberry. Watch: £135, Shore Projects. Photograph: Ella Sadika

A jumpsuit to work? Yes, you can. Wear with ‘sensible’ flats so you don’t feel too dressy and it can be really chic. This is the ultimate high-to low dressing – I am so pleased with this Primark jumpsuit, what a find! And paired with Jimmy Choo flats and the best bucket bag out there (at less than half the price of the Mansur Gavriel one), I feel pulled together and expensive.

Small leather bucket bag: £165, Iris & Ink at The Outnet. Watch: £135, Shore Projects

It makes sense not to spend a fortune on something like a jumpsuit, especially when you don’t know how long the trend will be around for, and then go high on the accessories. And the quality of this one is really good.

Trench: DAY Birger et Mikkelsen (and shorter version here)

I’m sorry the Primark jumpsuit is not available to buy online (and is probably no longer instore) – I can’t wear new clothes all the time, sadly! But have found some frugal alternatives below (the shoes, in particular are a great find).

Jumpsuit,: £45, Asos
Snake effect flats: £62, Topshop
Trench coat: £75, Asos

    I have those TopShop shoes, which unfortunately have rubbed my heels raw on the first time of wearing! I really hope they soften up… Love the Jimmy Choos…

    I am loving your little work-wear series Alex! It's great for some inspiration when I'm feeling less than imaginative 🙂 Sophie xxx

      Thank you!! I spent a lot of time thinking and planning so glad it's coming in useful for some people! And it's nice to wear something other than jeans, for once! x
