You might have noticed I’m a fan of a jumpsuit, dungarees, generally an all-in-one-r! For me, I love their ease – winter and all its layering I find a bit of a faff. With Spring and Summer clothing, I know where I stand. A jumpsuit, or boilersuit, is a cheat outfit as it instantly looks cool and it’s just one thing that you don’t have to style to look good. The shape of this Fat Face one is also perfect, I love its short sleeves, which means it works for warmer days too but also makes it easier to layer under a blazer (and you can easily add a long sleep stripe top underneath, too!).

For this post, I took some pieces to one of my favourite parts of London, Regent’s Canal along King’s Cross. The sun was shining, the blossom was in bloom and it’s such a calm space to walk around nature. I love the mix of urban city-life with nature, the industrial warehouses and gas holders (now converted to flats) atop floating gardens and London Wildlife Trust Nature reserves.

For me, Fat Face’s collection suits my pretty yet practical formula of dressing – something frilly meets something utilitarian (and work well with flats!). I love pairing this blouse with a more androgynous pair of dungarees which would also work with the plethora of stripe shirts and tops in my wardrobe! Dungarees are perfect for this interim weather too, as they can be layered with knitwear without losing any of the style.

I talk about a style ‘uniform’ quite a lot but I really believe it’s the most practical way of dressing, and is the only way to really get longevity out of your wardrobe. Fat Face also uses 100% sustainably sourced cotton in their product and the size range goes up to a size 24 (I’m wearing a size 10 in these images).
