7 of the best blazers for Spring.

Now that the weather is finally making a turn and heading towards Spring (don’t speak to soon, I hear you say!), we are starting to look for those perfect transitional pieces. One of the hardest working pieces from my wardrobe has to be the blazer.

Not just for the office, a blazer can be the perfect throw-on with your jeans, a sleek eveningwear option and what you wear to your wedding. A blazer isn’t going to be the cheapest option in your wardrobe, but in the same realm as a great coat, it is worth spending a bit more on a piece that will be a staple piece for many years.
I’ve put together an edit of 7 of the best high street good value and stylish blazers:
1.

You can’t go wrong with a simple black blazer. Black is the perfect first time failsafe colour – it can be dressed up for a smart tailored tuxedo look, and dressed down with a white t-shirt and jeans for off-duty chic.

2.

A heavy wool in a neutral colour like this looks really luxe. It’s fully lined so warm enough to wear even before spring has sprung with an oversized scarf and beanie.

3.

Worn with matching trousers this pop of colour would be the perfect occasion outfit.
4.

A bit more of a classic in terms of fabric and shape, we’d style this dressed up with tailoring and down with slouchy denim and trainers.
5.

A good introduction pricepoint to the blazer trend with a simple design and this colour will go with everything in your wardrobe.
6.

I love this look – slouchy tailoring with a sporty element. Always excellent quality from Arket and a guaranteed forever piece in your wardrobe.
7.

Checks are the stripes of the blazer world! Bold but classic at the same time.

Not technically in my round up of wardrobe staples but I couldn’t not mention the blazer for the ultimate occasion – your wedding! This blazer from Whistles is relaxed and minimal but still a special look for a modern bride (and I think we’ve proven you can wear it for years afterwards).
