Pinboard Inspiration below:
Pinboards are an excellent way to create a vision for yourself, to save memories on or even to get organised. It was time I created one for myself and so the inspiration hunt started…
I’ve wanted a pinboard/scrapboard for ages and now our study is almost finished, I decided it was the right time. At the moment, it’s quite neat but hopefully in time I’ll add to it and it can become a memory wall…
Firstly, I bought a stretched canvas for £9.99 from the stationary store Rymans. I decided to paint it with Farrow & Ball’s ‘Manor House Grey’ which I had left from my front door |
Here I am sifting through my inspirations/memories from travel, work and family moments. |
Co-ordinating your pins keeps it simple and chic, I purchased these rounded black pins for £6.99, from Rymans |
In conclusion, I spent a total of £16.98, after my affordable purchases, I started placing out images, prints, magazine covers and fashion edits. Not in any particular order, sometimes randomising items makes for good visual effects.
In short, this is the finished pinboard. I wasn’t too sure about painting it at first, however I think the grey is understated but chic. As a result, it fits in nicely with the colour scheme of the room.
Most importantly, I placed the board just above my desk, for those days when inspiration calls I only have to look up and glance at the memories to feel a little uplifted.

To be honest I think ours is still too neat! Sometimes clutter is a good thing 🙂
