Let your shoes do the talking…

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman
It’s an age-old formula. Which works.
Dress simply. And then wow everyone with the accessories.
I recently bought these Zara shoes which have transformed my wardrobe. I have a few knee-length skirts I wasn’t sure what to do with and felt I was wearing the same flats everyday (and as much as I love the trainer trend, it’s a slippery slope and VERY hard to get back into shoes!). I bought these metallic beauties and voila! My style has had a much-needed rejig.

Just team with a sweater and jeans for instant chic. I’ve shown here how a few simple pair of fab shoes can change your look in an instant:

Before I probably would’ve put some trainers on for ease. But this looks so much more polished. Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Jumper: Uniqlo mens. Bag: Zara. Jeans: Asos

On my way to a friend’s baby shower, who runs a blog – A Little of Everything

Zara silver block heels, £69.99
WARDROBE CLASSIC:
Ray-Ban’s style just work for my petite face, and are a classic. These ones have the Brooks Brothers tie-print on the inside! V cool.
The High Street does some great versions, too:

£10, Accessorize

£12, Asos
I love these neon pink shoes, £250, LK Bennett

A great investment for the summer, especially if you have a few weddings to go to!

NEW ADDITION: BOYFRIEND WATCH

Watch, £139, Rotary

This is actually a man’s watch from Rotary but I love the chunkiness of it. It even has the date and day of the week!

Love love love those pink ones! And the metallic ones are fab too – what a great heel. I'm not great in complete flats so I definitely want to try on next time I'm in town. Have a great weekend Alex x

Hi! It's actually a leopard jacket from H&M, I've still seen it left in a few stores. Here's the link to me wearing it: https://the-frugality.com.gridhosted.co.uk/2013/02/summer-trend-denim.html

Great post Alex. I've taken inspiration from your blog and started trying to invest in classics and jazz them up each season with accessories. I love the sunglasses you're wearing in the picture with LK Bennett shoes – where are they from please? x
