My Perfect Weekend

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman

Outside the best brunch spot in South London: Milk, Balham thanks for the recommendation, blog readers!)

Happy Easter, everyone! I don’t know about you, but this Bank Holiday weekend has been a long time coming. Being a newcomer to the world of freelance, I am fast learning that weekends don’t really tend to exist…you just have to snatch those spare moments when you can. So, when Timex asked me to come up with a concept for a ‘Weekender’ watch post, my husband and I used it as an excuse to basically recreate our perfect weekend in our little part of London.

9am – The day starts with flowers from Tooting Broadway station, I often buy tulips from Lidl but I occasionally spend a little more and love the feel of flowers in freshly wrapped paper.

Trench: Gestuz. Breton top: £12.90, Uniqlo. Watch: £49.99, Timex. Leather bag: £75, Atterley Road. Jeans: H&M (buy similar from Asos here)

10am – breakfast at my newfound favourite spot, Milk – I first went a few weeks ago with a friend and I couldn’t wait to take my husband.

The ‘Weekender’ Slip Thru watch, £49.99, Timex
12noon – Borough Market. I probably wouldn’t recommend going on a weekend in the Easter holidays – busy to say the least! But, I would definitely go back for the gluten and dairy free brownies alone.

Silk scarf: Jane Carr

 4pm – home to read, relax and enjoy those gluten free brownies!

Jeans: £187, AG Jeans at Zalando. Jumper: Zara
This brownie was everything…
7pm – and to finish off the perfect day? Yes, you guessed it – Nando’s…sometimes you just need some spicy chicken, right?! (although I’d also recommend the beanie wrap).
This post was in collaboration with Timex – hope you enjoyed! See our YouTube video of the weekend, filmed by Lucky No 13, here:

!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘widgets.rewardstyle.com’ + ‘/js/shopthepost.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__stp.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘shopthepost-script’);
