How to do London Fashion Week with zero effort

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman
Coat: £69, Marks & Spencer.  Sleeveless jumper: Marks & Spencer (instore). Jeans: £35, Marks & Spencer. Suede chain strap bag: £99, Marks & Spencer. Trainers: £29.50, Marks & Spencer. Photographs: Ella Sadika
Fresh from New York (or not so fresh, as it happens) and straight into London Fashion Week doesn’t leave much time for outfit planning. So I’m yearning for an easier formula which allows me to be on my feet for around 14 hours a day but still look and feel chic enough to brush shoulders with Editors.
Step forward the wool high tops from M&S, super comfy (thank you, insolia technology), super affordable and look perfect with this season’s cut-off raw hem denim. I don’t really need to tell you M&S are killing it this season, but I can show you a few key items to buy.

Suede chain strap bag: £99, Marks & Spencer.
You also may have noticed this bag in pretty much ALL of my instagram pics recently, too. At first, I thought it was quite expensive for what it was but it is my new favourite bag. It has loads of compartments and fits tons in (even my diary and notebook) and surprisingly, the chocolate colour seems to work with everything. I’m tipping it to be the bag of the season for me.

This was in partnership with Marks & Spencer, where I shot a week in my shoes for the Style & Living section online (read the article and see my other choices here).

You really do – if only for the velvet midi skirt that's in at the moment!
