Firstly, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all the amazing comments, love and donations on the last blogpost. It really means a lot to me to have such a support network in you. It was heartbreaking reading how many of you have also been affected by Dementia but I was also comforted in your lovely words.
We actually doubled my original target of £600 for Alzheimer’s Society and I cannot thank you all enough.
It feels weird, somehow, to go back to my regular posts. Suddenly I’m talking about fashion again….
So I thought I’d ease myself in gently and do a bit of a classic ‘me’ style post – all about stripes. Those who have been reading my blog/following my social channels for a while, know my love of stripes knows know bounds. If I ever feel unsure on what to wear, you can be sure a striped breton will set me straight…and if I’m ever shopping (online or instore) I am always drawn to stripes in some form or another.
But I thought I’d look at a few different wears to wear stripes, rather than just with jeans (although that’s fine by me, too). The good news is, the red stripe top I borrowed from H&M from my holiday is finally online – but also, I quite enjoyed researching this – it really made me think of some different ways to style my own stripes….and hope it does for you, too.
And now for something a bit simpler…I’ve always rated Boden’s breton tops, the fabric is soft and I would size up for a bit more of a slouchy fit. Uniqlo is also a great place to look.
