INTERIORS EDIT: JOHN LEWIS ANYDAY

Interiors - By Alexandra Stedman

Sofa: £499, ANYDAY. Cushions: £12 each, ANYDAY. Dress: £79, AND/OR at John Lewis

It’s not everyday that a range comes out that’s affordable yet meets the quality you’d expect and is as chic as the ANYDAY range is from John Lewis. When Chris and I went to view the collection for the first time, there were so many items we loved as it really is the perfect combination of stylish, practical, affordable and useful (what I like to call the interiors ‘holy grail’).

We’ve been after a sofa for this spot in the kitchen for almost a year now, we had a small two seater from our last flat to have somewhere to sit (as well as breastfeed!) but there wasn’t really enough room for more than one person at a time to relax. I hadn’t found anything that was large enough yet not overpowering and still affordable. This three seater sofa is £499 (the two seater is £299), it’s really comfortable and has completely changed this space for us (it comes in grey and blue, too).

The ANYDAY range spans across all of ‘living’, a thoughtful curation of elevated basics from useful shoe storage:

Underbed shoe storage: £12, ANYDAY

To nursery essentials:

Pack of 4 sleepsuits: £18.50, ANYDAY
Moses basket: £35, ANYDAY

To beds, bed linen, cushions and towels:

Bed: from £199, ANYDAY. Bed linen: ANYDAY. Cushion: £12 each, ANYDAY. Bath sheet: £20 each (but range starts from £5), ANYDAY

Funnily enough, we bought this ANYDAY bed before embarking on this project. Our reasons for upgrading were that we finally caved to a king size bed, now we have children we realised it was an essential, as was a headboard. This bed ticked all our boxes and was a great price point, too. And the shoe storage fits perfectly underneath this bed, too!

Candle: £10, ANYDAY
Bath sheets: £20 each, ANYDAY

I made a vow to only have items in our home we loved and challenged myself to find even the most mundane items that could be beautiful. As Cato is growing out of baby towels, I’ve found joy in selecting gorgeous matching bath towels for us and the kids and as we’re slowly building up useful furniture at home, I’m now thinking of ways to maximise storage – and ANYDAY has you covered with hanging shoe storage, crates to sit under kitchen cupboards and all those bits in between. Whether you’re after the perfect tapered candles for dinner, or a set of fun yet functional tea towels, you can now search the ANYDAY section and you’ll find an edit for you. Taking the stress away of scouring online or in store for those everyday items everyone needs (kids nail clippers!) as it’s all in one place.

Cabinet: £199, ANYDAY (this cabinet is currently sold out will be back in stock in July)
