The second instalment of our India trip, culminating in our trip to Mumbai.

We did a morning tour of Mumbai, which I’d thoroughly recommend – you start at 5:15am but early enough to catch all the newspaper traders, the fish market and vegetable markets – something you wouldn’t be able to see after 8:30am.
Shoes: Solillas |
We stayed at Abode Hotel in Mumbai, which we found through Conde Nast Traveller – rooms were really affordable and you really did feel away from the hustle and bustle of the city (except perhaps Saturday night as we found out in our room by the main street). Perfect location in the Colaba district, most restaurants we visited were walking distance, and rooms not too expensive. Roughly £80 a night it was definitely the priciest place we stayed but after a long trip and a day walking around busy Mumbai you’ll need a cosy room, fresh sheets and hot shower.
Backpack: £145, Radley. Sandals: £46, Solillas |

Top: Velvet by Graham & Spencer |
