{In partnership with Uniqlo}
Shorts: I have avoided buying them for a few years, to be honest. Being at home more over the last few years, I’ve resorted to wearing old paint splattered ones when the weather has warranted it.
But this year? I’ve got a holiday coming up and with the last few weeks of heat, I’ve been searching for some easy to wear shorts that feel comfortable, look good and meet my pricepoint satisfaction.

Step forward, Uniqlo. A range of styles and wonderful colours to choose from – I’ve picked 4 different pairs here, from smarter to everyday holiday styles. For me, fabric is important and I love the linen mix of these stripe pairs:
Pair with an oversized shirt (from Uniqlo, obvs) to keep the silhouette relaxed. This is a go-to summer look for me and one I rely on for holidays (and easy for chasing kids around!).
For a smarter look, I love this linen cotton blend style in the yellow, and they come in 5 other colours (they could work well with heels but for my life right now they suit flats just as well!). I love mixing lengths and styling a slouchy, long sleeve breton works really well. Top tip: Uniqlo’s breton top (£19.90) has been on my Fashion Editor ‘iconic buy’ list for years, and will serve you well throughout the year.

This post was in collaboration with Uniqlo, all words, styling and imagery my own.
Loved the shorts feature, thank you. I love Uniqlo but get overwhelmed as have to shop on line as they are only in London. The feature definitely helped to know which particular styles to look for.
Sorry to hear about your daughter’s injury, hope all heals well soon. Enjoyed the shorts post. You’ve almost convinced me but I am rather allergic to shorts in general.It’s the way you style these things.
