High Street heroes

People often say “start with the shoes”. And when they’re as good as these, it makes life pretty easy. I’ve always said that Next do some of the best (and comfy) shoes on the High Street, and this season is no different. A good shoe makes the simplest outfit feel more polished – and especially helps me at a loose end wearing jeans pretty much every.single.day at the moment. So: my three favourite shoes in my wardrobe right now? They’re all Next and here’s why…
1. The metallic Mary-Jane

Within the first week of owning these, I wore these silver flats on a trip to Ikea as well as a 12 hour long shoot standing on my feet all day and I can confirm: they are super comfy. This Mary-Jane style is also a great investment this season and look fab with pleated skirts too.

2. The velvet flats

Velvet flats: £45, Next. Coat: £95, Wallis. Jeans: Topshop (old). Blouse: £28, Next.
I wore these to a Paris Fashion Week show and was photographed by some street style photographers. They were obviously expecting them to be designer and seemed a little disappointed when I revealed they were High Street. Perfect with jeans but also the ideal shape and style to wear with chiffon maxi dresses and skirts.

3. The leopard lace-ups

So my Mary-Jane leopard shoes from Office are sold out, but these are in stock (do I need both? Stupid question). They’ve got a super walkable heel, the straps make your legs look extra long and they have that cushioning on the inside that makes them oh so soft. Basically: they’re the super shoe.
And the best bit? Next day delivery. On everything. Just order before midnight. Yep.

This post was in collaboration with Next, supporting their new accessories campaign (but then I’ve always worn Next shoes).
