I ended up running about town for work today, rather than any shows, so didn’t end up doing an outfit post…so you’ll have to use your imagination a little bit. I road-tested my final Peter Pilotto for Target purchase today – the monochrome skirt (with useful pockets).

First off was the Rewardstyle brunch at The Sanderson Hotel, it was the first blogger event I’ve been to and was a bit nerve-wracking but it was a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and be part of a wider community. They made me feel very welcome.

Then the day took over and I had to immerse myself into work…
As of this week, I will no longer be working full-time at Red Magazine and I will become freelance (today will be my 3rd day being self-employed!), a choice I have made for personal reasons and one which I am very excited about. I am still going to style but on a freelance basis, and spend time working on my blog, developing a few other projects and try and spend a bit more time with my family and friends.
Such a cute outfit. Love your Star Wars hoodie x
Thank you – such a good buy!
Wishing you all the best in your new freelancing role. Scary but exciting times ahead!
Thanks, Sue – I am still in my pyjamas at 12:53pm…might need to address this!
All the very best Alex. Welcomeito the world of self employment! Hx

It was my dream job for a long time…and will always remain that way – but sometimes you need to make a leap (even if it scares you)

Thank you SO much, I am excited to be my own boss for a while!

I've been reading your blog for the last few years and enjoyed reading every post you've put up. I'm also an avid Red fan! I've never commented here yet but when I saw you're news I felt compelled to write and say the best of luck and let you know how great your blog is! I'm 27 and have never considered myself fashionable (unlike my 3 gorgeous sisters!), but really feel my style has matured and developed with a big helping hand from your fantastic posts and features and amazing sense of style 🙂 Can't wait to see what you do next… xx
Such exciting news! Sometimes you have to take a leap… Wishing you all the best x
Oh I think this is such a great move for you and will open up so many opportunities….and the extra family time is something you'll never regret. Looking forward to following your new exciting journey on here Alex, Avril x
