Wearing MHL Margaret Howell shirt, H+M sequin skirt, Zara leopard bag in my room at Hotel Claska in Tokyo (longest bed in the history of mankind and set in the cool Design District, FYI…) |
I love a good shirt. I actually just had a count and I currently have 16…too many? Always room for more. Luckily for me, a starchy crisp cotton shirt is in for A/W – my favourite kind! Margaret Howell do the BEST ones, as do Carven…but something cheaper?

My investment piece this season? I’ve already got it as know it will sell out by the time LFW is here – a Carven wool skirt. It will look great now with flats and then no tights and boots as it gets chillier, then perfect with wool tights in the depths of winter. A great all-rounder!

What to wear with? This is a minimal look (think Chloe…) – so keep accessories to a minimum and choose monochrome footwear. I love these Tabitha Simmons-esque ones from Whistles:

You look fantastic-you really rock a pencil skirt!
Love the contrast of sequins and chambray-really cool. I think this should be your signature look!
Thank you! It's so nice wearing a white skirt on holiday – feel so weird to do it in London!
I know what you mean. But. DO IT! The silhouette looks fantastic on you! London needs to see it!
Perhaps this could be a Style challenge/Blog post? How to rock a white skirt in London? 🙂
Looking lovely Alex! I just got a lovely Topshop white shirt with a cute rounded collar. x
I love Peter Pan collars -so cute!
I was torn between a Oxford like one and the one I got, I thought this one would show necklaces well! I love those boots from Zara by the way!
Masculine shirt and sequined skirt is such a great combo! BTW, yesterday I went to the Carven boutique in Paris and I thought of you as the navy skirt was there and it is just gorgeous! As I've just bought two Carven skirt on sale (one of which I can certaily use during the fall/winter as well), I'll wait a bit before deciding my next Carven 'investment'! Take care, Caterina
