Style Challenge: Asos Denim

Fashion - By Alexandra Stedman
Recently, I was talking denim with Asos, and we were discussing how difficult it is to buy jeans online. But with the current climate and busy-ness of our lives, we just don’t have time to try on hundreds of styles and sizes (as let’s face it, I am a different size in every single store I go to).

Cue my Style Challenge – to showcase Asos’s new range of denim and discuss the fit. I’d like to stress I am not being paid to do this, I just thought it sounded fun and gave me a whole week of outfits I didn’t have to worry about!

ASOS Jeans is a specially dedicated area of the site specialising in the key jean fits in tons of different washes. I’m trying just a few…

DAY 1: The RIDLEY jean

Top: Gap, Jeans, £30, Asos, Shoes: Zara
£30, available in different washes, at Asos

These, for me, are the ultimate “Sunday” jeans. Pull them on, slip on your smoking slippers and out the door. Chic without having to think about it. The pair I’m wearing are “mid-stonewash” as I personally think I’m too old for the currently hip “acid-wash” (sob).

The fit is uber tight (be warned!) and was a bit of a struggle on the bed to get them on but once on, I felt I could conquer the world – they held everything in! And the high-waist means they hide any unsightly lumps and bumps. And at £30, they are possibly the cheapest skinny jean around.

PS the flat is not mine (oh, how I wish it was!) – this picture was taken on location in East London – serious interiors envy!

I was just slipping into real flat envy then…… gorgeous windows. I love the look of the Brady boyfriend jeans – Ive yet to find a pair I like as I usually look like Ive been borrowing my husbands jeans when I wear boyfriend jeans they are so baggy but these look nice and slim!

I am wearing my black Ridley's and I love them, extremely comfortable! However the sizing is all over the place! I would typically wear a size 12-14, bought a 12 and could easily size down to 10. I also bought the size 12 ASOS Uber High Waisted Ultra Skinny Jeans, but couldn't get them past my knees!!
