My recent trip to Istanbul finally gave me the chance to wear a summer evening dress (well, it was actually quite chilly but I really wanted to wear my dress).
Dress: £60, Topshop. Sandals: £24, Next |
Never one for ‘dressing up’ too much on holiday, this dress is the perfect line between dressy and smart, with its off shoulder detail but in a daywear fabric: broderie anglaise. And of course, I’ve paired it with flats.
The cold-shoulder dress was the hit of last summer and is set to continue this year – but this time round it’s more adventurous – textured fabrics, patterned materials and stronger shapes.
Tuxedo jacket: Dagmar (buy similar here) |
My tuxedo jacket has been my favourite thing at the moment, I love pairing it with anything – jeans, day dresses, denim shorts. Such a good investment. It gives this outfit a dressy edge which the flats brings back down to earth.
I’ll be uploading some more photos from Istanbul once I’ve edited them – quite a few to go through (as per usual)!
